Professional Biography

Somtochukwu (Ugonnaya) Ochiabutor is a Software Engineer and entrepreneur working at the intersection of technology and biological sciences – a combination that informs how he builds systems designed to improve human outcomes. A neuroscientist by training and a builder by practice, he holds a B.Sc. in Human Anatomy from the University of Nigeria – where he graduated as the best student in his set – and is currently running a Master's in Neurosciences at the Università degli Studi di Palermo, Italy. Over the past five years, he has deployed more than nine production applications across mobile platforms, spanning education, health, sports, and institutional management. His career spans roles at Rangers International Football Club, where he launched a flagship app reaching 50,000+ supporters, to Digital Dreams, where he architected a cross-platform online learning platform including the development of various games. He is currently a co-founder and CEO of Apex Rock Limited, where he leads product vision, team strategy, and go-to-market execution. At Apex Rock, he was also heavily involved in architecting and building the foundations of SchEase – a comprehensive school management platform purpose built to digitise the operational and administrative workflow of secondary and high schools. His work is defined by a consistent conviction: that the right technology, built thoughtfully, can restructure broken systems at scale.
